Enhanced Playing Comfort. Professional Performance.

UltraFlex ProCushion System is a professional acrylic cushion system developed to improve player comfort
and court performance by creating resilient cushioning layers beneath the final colour coating.

The system is designed for new court construction and premium refurbishment projects where improved
shock absorption, reduced player fatigue and enhanced playing comfort are required.

UltraFlex ProCushion forms part of the complete UltraFlex Sports Coatings system and should be installed
only as part of an approved multi-layer specification.

SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The ProCushion System is installed between the prepared resurfacer and the final colour coating.
A typical system consists of:
• Prepared court surface
• Black Acrylic Resurfacer
• Coarse ProCushion layers
• Fine ProCushion layers
• Colour Concentrate
• Prime & Line
The exact number of layers depends on the required performance specification.

CHOOSING THE CORRECT PRODUCT

Coarse Products
Coarse products are generally used to build the primary cushion thickness and provide the foundation of the
cushioning system.

Fine Products
Fine products are generally applied above the coarse layers to refine the surface and prepare it for the final
colour coating.
The final specification will depend on the required level of cushioning and project requirements.

SYSTEM BENEFITS
Correctly installed ProCushion systems may provide:
• Improved underfoot comfort
• Reduced impact forces
• Better player confidence
• Improved surface consistency
• Professional court performance
• Long-term durability
• Premium court finish
Performance depends on the complete system design and correct installation.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Before applying ProCushion:
• Inspect the court thoroughly.
• Repair cracks and damaged areas.
• Correct drainage problems.
• Ensure the surface is stable.
• Complete all resurfacing work.
• Remove dust and contamination.
• Allow previous coats to dry completely.
• Confirm compatibility with the selected system.
The ProCushion System cannot compensate for structural movement or unstable substrates.

MIXING
Mixing depends on the selected format.

Concentrate Products
Must be mixed according to the approved Technical Data Sheet.

Ready-to-Use Products
Factory prepared and require only thorough stirring before application.
Do not apply one mixing procedure to every product format.

APPLICATION
ProCushion products are generally applied using professional rubber squeegees.
Each layer should be applied evenly to achieve a consistent cushion profile.
Allow every layer to dry before applying the next.
Avoid:
• Uneven film build
• Heavy ridges
• Inconsistent layer thickness
• Applying during unsuitable weather
• Contaminating partially cured layers
• Applying colour coats before the cushion system has cured
The number of applications depends on the specified system.

COVERAGE
Coverage depends on:
• Product format
• Fine or coarse grade
• Required cushion thickness
• Surface profile
• Surface condition
• Number of layers
• Application method
• Contractor technique
Because several system options are available, one universal coverage figure should not be published.
Final material quantities should be calculated according to the selected court specification.

AVAILABLE PACK SIZE
• 20 L
The product pail will clearly indicate:
• Fine Concentrate
• Fine Ready to Use
• Coarse Concentrate
• Coarse Ready to Use

DRYING AND RECOATING
Drying depends on:
• Temperature
• Humidity
• Air movement
• Layer thickness
• Product format
• Site conditions
Every layer must dry sufficiently before the next application.
Refer to the latest Technical Data Sheet and Sports System Guide.

IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS
• Do not apply to dirty, damp or unstable surfaces.
• Do not use the cushion system to correct structural defects.
• Do not apply during unsuitable weather conditions.
• Do not mix different product formats without following the approved specification.
• Do not apply colour coats until the cushion system has dried sufficiently.

• Court performance depends on the complete installed system.
• Professional installation is recommended.
• ProCushion must be used as part of a complete UltraFlex Sports Coatings system.
